Our Values
Integrity
We provide honest, strategic advice that prioritizes long-term health and positive impact
Access
Financial knowledge and the right tools shouldn’t be a privilege. We are committed to ensuring that all types of organizations, particularly those serving under-resourced communities, have access to the financial and strategic expertise that they need to thrive.
Collaboration
We know that the best results are achieved through partnership. We work with leaders and the communities they serve to align vision, strategy, and resources, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for positive change.
Adaptability
The funding and operational landscape is constantly changing. We work to help organizations navigate these changes, adapting strategies to remain effective and thrive in a dynamic world.
Sandi McKinley, Founder & Principal
I am awed by the power of passion.
The passion that drives the musician to perfect a complex piece of music, the passion that compels someone to run a marathon, and the passion it takes to serve others. That's what has drawn me to work in the nonprofit sector for two decades.
I founded SectorWind because I know that mission-driven leaders are the best at harnessing passion to tackle social issues and infuse our lives with cultural vibrance. But leaders and organizations can find themselves trapped in an archaic system of funding and finance that inhibits their ability to be strategically resilient and financially strong.
Having spent my career in the social sector, one thing is clear: nonprofit leaders are the most resourceful, creative, and positive people in the universe. They deliver remarkable programs — sometimes out of thin air.
Despite this programmatic success, many leaders benefit from working with a partner to align finance, strategy, and management with the realities of a fluid future, building business models that bolster organizational strength.
That's where SectorWind comes in.
As in nature, where wind has an essential — but invisible — role in scattering seeds, aiding in pollination, and disbursing the sun’s heat, the work of building strong organizations is frequently unseen but no less essential.
I serve as a strategic financial consultant, trusted advisor, and guide to help leaders though periods of change, opportunity, and challenge.
I see your passion. I believe in your vision. I know that together we can catalyze strategic resilience and financial strength across your organization.
